It's not a good book to start with and even if the course disagrees it has no real vision and viewpoint with which to work on and even the Cultural Context is relatively weak. One book that should be considered has to be 1982.0 -

Ah the movies are a load of pillock! Books beat them every time. They can take ages to get through though. Any sort of break and you end up having to skip back pages trying to remember where you were.
