Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure if this should be in Nets & Comms but anyway I'm looking at buying my first NAS drive soon. Probably a 2TB Lacie with ethernet and a USB port. I don't know too much about NAS so I've a few questions that google can't really help me out with. Sorry if they're stupid questions.

    1) I'll have it connected to my wireless router via cat5 and firstly I was wondering if that's enough to allow me to use the drive over wifi from my laptop and xbox etc... Will the xbox and latptop see it on the network and mount it automatically?

    2) Secondly how secure are NAS drives? It'll be beind 2 routers. Are NAS drives password protected etc...

    3) Another question is if I partition the drive will it behave like any other partitioned usb drive? I'd use one partition for backup and the other for streaming movies/music.

    4) And finally if I connect another usb drive to the NAS via it's USB port is that enough to make that drive available on the network as well?
