I've been looking on eBay all week and I'm close to convincing my Mam to buy me one :pac:

    Linky?

Are you looking at lomo/pinhole type cameras or just a film slr?

The Pentax looks tempting though. 2 cameras and 4 lenses as well as a battery grip. The ability to swap lenses is probably more useful.

Yeah, I'll bid on them both and if I win I'll sell one of the cameras to a shop and probably get more back than I payed.

There was one film camera I always wanted to get. I'm trying to think of it. It was a camera that took 70mm film I think and if you modded it, you could get it to use 35mm with two lengths of exposures used for each photo. So everything was like a panoramic photo.

I wish I had money. I'm going to see if I can find a job online - an online journalist.

When I was 13, I worked for some PS3 website writing articles and I used to get paid! Until I got caught for plagiarism. Ah how young and naive I was. :pac:

35mm film in Holga, medium format cameras, gives these results.

and if you get your winding right, this:

All from a modded Holga medium format film camera.

Ya, but you can't get the film printed easily. You need to do it yourself in a darkroom so I won't bother until I get mine set up.

Just what I thought you should do, in case of either 1) dehydration, or 2) lack of energy.

Jaysus lads, they made digital camera's for a reason

Ya, so that you can mindlessly point and shoot. Thoughtless photography. To learn how everything works and understand a camera properly, you are advised to use a film camera. You only have one chance to get the photo, so you have to get the settings right before pressing the shutter and you don't get any instant feedback. So then when you go back to digital, you can get your shot perfect first time. Which is important if you are doing anything that only gives split seconds to take the shot. It teaches you to pick out shutter-speed, aperture, etc., just from looking through the viewfinder.

Also, find me a digital camera that can do this without photoshop.

    2811301410-6aedb90774.jpg?et=tasfLLkCvBpvW%2B8IdQ9t6g&nmid=186148309

Photography is all about diversity, getting as many different shots as possible. It'd be boring if everything was all perfect lighting, everything in focus. To stand out, shots have to be different. Film may be that.
