ehh how? Ryan Dunn did do that and it was comedy gold! and he said RIP in his post. How on earth can that be construed as bad taste?

    On topic:

My fav Ryan Dunn moment was when he jumped into vat (?) of poo. Proper legend that man.

Just thinking, I wonder will the Jackass crew release unused footage of Ryan in a movie. I hope.

    RIP

it was the 3rd post in.
he states "Thats the guy who got a car shoved up his ass in the film"
knowing dunne had died in a car crash. no mention of "a toy car" as it was. A "car shoved up his ass" sounds like black humor to me.

    Drink driving = death.
    RIP the passenger.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but is no one else surprised that it took over ten years for Jackass to lose a cast member? Save for the incessant Wee Man rumours of the early 2000's they haven't had it too bad as far as brushes with death go for all their dangerous antics.

R.I.P Dunn, one of my favourites

Watched Jackass 3.5 sunday night, got out of bed monday and turned on the radio to hear this, very sad as he was someone who entertained me for 10+ years and he always seeemed the nicest, and by all accounts was a very down to earth, genuine and nice guy, the most approachable of the whole jackass team.

I wish people would wait for the police and medical reports before putting the boot in.

    RIP guys

Ummm he wasn't in that. That was probably Zach Galifianakis you are thinking of?

Apparantly this is a common enough mistake that people are making, must be the beard. Failbook have a post about it and there's an old tweet on Dunns account annoyed at the amount of people that think he's in The Hangover!

RIP Passenger & Ryan Dunn and sympathies to his partner, family & friends.

Totally agree with what Ebert said on his Twitter account.

If it hasn't been already mentioned in this thread, he basically chastised Dunn's friends for allowing him to drink and drive. https://twitter.com/#!/ebertchicago/status/82872136712192000

    RIP I suppose

My friend informed me that he may not in fact be dead and this is all a plan to make the next movie extra special so he appears in it as a major surprise.

However if he did die RIP

RIP to a very entertaining person.

No excuse for a death if drinking or speeding were involved.

I said this in the previous thread, which was chopped.
Looked to me he was not even remotely sober:

I genuinely liked him, he was a funny guy but to be brutally honest: If you do this I struggle to feel sympathy.

He had a previous court appearance for driving under the influence in April 2005 of which he completed a first offenders program, so again i'm happy to jump to conclusions.
He crashed his car then too, 2 miles from this one.

In the article it says he downed 3 pints and 3 shots in four hours. I don't see how you can down 3 pints over 4 hours. This isn't trying to support his decision to drive because he was stupid to drive and endanger the lives of others.

One thing I'll say on the matter is that Drink Driving is viewed very differently in the States than it is here. There is an extremely Laissez Faire attitude to it in the US. Last summer I was at a wedding and I was shocked by the blasé attitude to having a good skip and driving home. Dunn if he was impaired was only doing what millions of his country men do on a daily basis. Sorry Off topic but I think it needs to be said.

Tbh, lets just wait for results before we jump to conclusions here.
You must have a great ability to tell whether someone you dont know is sober or not by looking at a poor quality photo.

looks like the real deal alright. Had thought it was a hoax as was being rumored.
    but looks like its true.

Police confirmed that both Jackass star Dunn and Hartwell died as a result of injuries they suffered in the crash, which was timed at 2.38am Monday morning local time, TMZ reports.

well all the best, rest in peace and thanks for the laughs.

I don't think after hours should be the appropriate venue for RIP or condolence threads of celebrities. Perhaps celebs / showbiz might facilitate such a need.
