    Hi all,
As the title suggests, I'm looking for a long wearing lipstick and a good gloss to match. It's for my wedding day. I have a few glosses, Revlon seem the best so far. I usually use a lipliner from rimmel and then maybelline lipstick. Always end up reapplying loads throughout the day.

For the day that's in it, I don't mind getting a high end one but obv would prefer to keep costs low! Is there much of a difference with mac lippies or do they all rub off? I guess it's your lips at the end of the day, they'll be getting a lot of use that day lol :)

    Any help much appreciated!

The Estee Lauder ones are amazing, pixiwoo go through 'em quite well here:

and I've got a more thorough review on one here:

They're twenty one quid here and come in a million different colours.

I think that MAC's Amplified and Matte lipsticks are the most long wearing but can't think of an Amplified that'd be suitable for a wedding day and you want it glossy so I wouldn't say go for the matte ones. Unless you'd be willing to get a gloss to put over it; I find this lessens the wear you'll get out of it though.

What's your skin coloring? and what shades do you normally go for?

I find MacTwig lipstick works well for brides it's a creamy, semi-sheer pink with brownie-pink. It’s almost like a really deep, flesh-toned color. To match i use Mac Whirl lip Liner. Go easy on the gloss just a dab is enough for wedding photos, a clear gloss does fine.

To give your lippy staying power you will need translucent powder.

Apply your lip liner, apply lipstick with a lip brush then dust with over translucent powder. Then you need to repeat lipstick and powder another two times....then add a hint of gloss. Remember to pop your lippy in your bag as you may need a little top up during the night.

    Hope this helps

    Good luck and congrats ;)

This is probably a bit old-school, but when I wear lipstick I put Lipcote on over it.

    Thanks for all the replies!
Tan11ie - I'll definitely try your tips with the powder with whichever one I go for. Good thinking on the clear gloss.
I love watching the pixiwoo girls!! Think I'll pop into bt and try some of the ones you've all suggested :) Thanks again
