    Lo all,

Looking for a pair of metal gates for a friend. The entrance is 12foot wide, so this would be what he's looking to fill. When he asked around, the quotes he got back were €600+

So I'm wondering is there anywhere in Galway that does good gates at a decent price, or somewhere that sells second hand gates?

These guys do wood gates, maybe they can do/know of iron gates too?

That seems like a good price for 12ft gates. I bought gates last year for that price and that was the cheapest I could find. Check out Donedeal. There are some used gates there. Get them powder coated if you can. It will save painting them every few years!!
I am in the process of looking for a side entrance gate. Rang a few guys but no answer. Left a few voice mails and still nothing. You would think we are still in the middle of the Celtic Tiger .

i've used Eamon Smith for gates for my current house and my previous one. He is based in balindooly but covers all the county. He makes the iron gates from scratch if thats what you are interested in. Provides a brochure with previous work so you can pick what you want. 600 seems mad cheap for new iron gates TBH. PM me if you want contact details

I make hardwood gates, but for metal, try James o Brien Engineering.
