Really?I heard that the owners of Abalone were opening up again under a different name.
    It would
Make sense though- Cava is packed and if it's only a few doors down they might be able to work synergy somehow with the kitchens...

They're actually right beside each other:

    They're probably just expanding cava.

I heard that's abalone. Cava opening a new place on Henry st opposite bierhaus

There's a small sign outside what used to be abalone saying it will soon open as "Thiar", specialising in locally sourced foods. Looking forward to giving it a go whether it's under abalone or cava's management :-)

Yep, Cava's owners are looking for planning permission in relation to a building on Henry Street.

Glad to hear the owners of Abalone are opening up again, they're a nice couple.

Abalone owners are not opening up again, it is Cava going in there, article in the independent in relation to it

Here's a link to that article in the independent http://www.galwayindependent.com/business/business/new-restaurant-to-open-on-dominick-street-20110622/
"Noma"-inspired, eh? So hot right now!

First i've heard of this but Enda is an amazing chef so i'd imagine the quality will be excellent. Good for him doing his own thing!

Head Chef Enda McEvoy has said that the food at Aniar will be based on the concept of “terroir”, the ensemble of natural influences that give a food a sense of place.

Good jesus, is it 1997 again?

Edited to say, despite the pretension I do like the idea of more local food based restaurants.
