Scientific Atlanta Drops Connection (UPC)

Just got Upc 12mb at the weekend and have the scientific atlanta EPC 2203. On atleast three occasions the US light has gone and its taken several minutes to get it back going. Is this to do with the modem or with UPC ? And is there a way of preventing this from happening? By the way the modem is connected my laptop with an…

The computer can't effect the modem, so you need to contact UPC.
