Cork end of year make a profit of 1.4million.
Most of that was got from the "Boss",Concert in the Pairc.
They were down gate recipts from games.
Must be the only County with Dublin to make such a profit.

Get Garth Brooks down the Páirc next year and it'll give Prionnsais another boost :D

No Cork man called up to the list 22 for the AFL training trials with Tadhg Kenneally in Dublin the weekend.Good news,we wont risk loosing another talent.

Tipperearys Colin O Riordain dual star ,still harty cup ,and called up to the senior hurling extended training panel is on the list. What a terrific player, some talent.Could really be a top top hurler.

I hope he doesn't go to the AFL.Not just a loss to Tippereary but a huge loss to GAA.
Very similar to Ciaran Sheehan in athleticism.

22 rising GAA stars will attend Tadhg Kennelly's AFL Combine in DCU at the weekend.

Westmeath's Israel Ilunga is joined by Mayo's All-Ireland winning minor captain Stephen Coen and the talented Tyrone minor duo of Conor McKenna and Padraig McGirr.

Others to undergo testing in critical Aussie Rules areas like agility, vertical jump, endurance, speed and skills were Dublin's 2012 All-Ireland minor winner Niall Scully, and brilliant Laois underage star Evan O'Carroll.

Scully attended a previous AFL fitness test along with Roscommon's Ronan Daly and Kerry's Padraig Lucey.

The 22 players to attend were: Shehroz Akram (Mayo), Conor McKenna (Tyrone), Conor McCarthy (Monaghan), Conor Jordan (Kerry), Niall Scully (Dublin), Ronan Daly (Roscommon), Ethan O'Donoghue (Kildare), Danny Owens (Tipperary), Stephen Coen (Mayo), Ciaron O'Hanlon (Armagh), Padraig McGirr (Tyrone), Rory Feely (Kildare), Peter Cooke (Galway), Israel Ilunga (Westmeath), Tom Devine (Waterford), Colin O'Riordan (Tipperary), Stephen Quirke (Tipperary), Kieran Murphy (Kerry), Cormac Curran (Waterford), Evan O'Carroll (Laois), Luke Flynn (Kildare), Padraig Lucey (Kerry).

And the Cork hurlers are still organising nights at the dogs, and trying to sell tickets for Paddy Casey, amongest other things, to try and fund a team holiday.

This doesn't make any sense. Croke Park should foot the bill for the team holiday, and if they don't, then is it too much to expect the Cork County board to give ye're boys a helping hand, particularly when they have such a handsome profit.

    We are a ****ing joke.

The sooner Frank Murphy gets the **** out of that job the better.

He will never leave of course.

Disgrace the players cant get a bloody holiday after the year they have had.

I was as disappointed about AI final as anyone, but they deserve a Holiday. Freaking Hell like. They aint asking for Million euro bonus.

Seeing Donal Og and other Cork players only receiving their Munster Medals from 2006 this year was another disgrace.

    Disgusted with the player treatment.

Dls macroom 2-1 to Colmans 3,15 minutes gone in the simcox cup semi final.

Cian healy two goals.Peter kelleher having a fine game at midfield.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,276 ✭✭✭thinkstoomuch1

    2-2 to 1-5 second half.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,276 ✭✭✭thinkstoomuch1

    3-6 macroom colmans 1-6
James moyinhan got a great goal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,276 ✭✭✭thinkstoomuch1

Macroom 3-9 to Colmans 1-8 in the simcox semi final.

Final probably be in the CIT Monday night.
Sean kelliher centre back, daniel cahalane at midfield, with Peter kelliher and up front John murphy, shane foley and James Moyinhan and Cian Healy who got around 2-2 all played very well.

A very ,very strong wind, but credit both teams played good football.

Colmans were missing their key player, kevin o neill cork dual player. Sean lenhihan looked good and put in a good display.

Peter kelliher was magnificent, fielded some great high ball, very strong in possesion and got two excellent points.Played a bit at half forward but dropped back to midfield and made some great runs.
A fine player, overage for the minors ,same as james Moyinhan this year.
I would not be suprised if Kelliher was on the u21 panel.

You can't seriously NOT be able to spell O'Sé if you are any sort of GAA fan?!

And by the way, the entire UCC Fresher starting 15 are Cork men...first time in a long time that has happened.

Simcox final won't be till January either according to someone I know who is involved in schools GAA.

Almost so! I was told they had 15 Cork men for one game this year anyway..its the no Kerrymen part I'm concerned about!

Great hurler (and footballer) who quietly just got on with things. Did the work of a midfielder brilliantly, as good at hooking and blocking as taking a score. Was it 04 or 05 he got a goal after soloing through the middle of the pitch and buried it from 20 or 25 yards, against Wexford I think. One of the best I've seen anyway.

Wasnt 15 men involved by the way.
Looby is a waterford minor and eammon o connor kerry is on the panel ,and and a tipp lad also.

According to someone you know ,you may be right but I am the type of gaa fan that actually made a 50 mile round trip to make the game yesterday ,and one of the selectors told me afterwards he was hoping for it to be played this monday at Cit.

Of course he could be wrong ,but thats what he said.

They want this over as last year ,it was oves by november ,a final that macroom beat rochestown after being down by 6,, at half time, and held rochestown scoreless for that half to win it.

I am the type of Gaa fan that was their seen as you asked.

They won it cause they had a great kerry man getting Cork lads play football the way it should be.Cork footballers rarely have such a luxury.:)

The kerry influence will be huge still.O se will become a top class coach that can only help ye down the line

2004 the semi final, the only goal he ever got in championship.A super hurler, pure speed, never a dirty stroke and a superb work ethic and drive to be a winner.

He once got 2-3 aprox in a munster footbal5 against kerry, had the talent to play for cork.He did play one game, but Tompkins(no suprise)played him centre forward out of position.

Won a junior all ireland with Cork ,and got trial with Celtic but declined.A really good soccer player.

Very good friemds with brian cococoran ,as a young lad grew up close to where he lived.
I am not suprised he retired,i had thought he would .The right call and he owes Cork gaa nothing,a wonderful servant.Best of luck to him and with Grenagh next year.

Oh you've only gone and angered him now, have you not read the charter ciarriaithuaidh, that man is always right simple as, so their/there/they're - apparently you can randomly use whichever one of these comes handiest but always has to be the wrong one :D

O'Se must indeed be a fine coach to win the game with only 11 players against 15 though, seen that there was only 10 Cork lads involved and one from Waterford - the Kerry and Tipp lads must have been fair bad to be only subs and they playing with 11?
