Hi. I've been reading lots of stuff online about cassava root supplement (called yucca root here I think). It's supposed to help in conceiving twins! Bit skeptical but just wondering if anyone can shed any light on this? Or if anyone knows where it can be got in Ireland coz I haven't seen it anywhere. Thanks.

Can't help with info about its fertiliy qualities, but I tasted cassava for the first time in Brazil in March and it's yum!! Kind of like a sweet potatoe, loads of really delicious ways to prepare it.

http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=62982248 This link gives a few brazilian shops in dublin which would be your best bet I'd imagine.

OP again. Dublin is no good to me I'm afraid as I am in Cork. :(
Have managed to find yucca root pills on Amazon but I'm wary, would prefer to get them here from a health shop or chemist,it's strange that nowhere seems to stock it. And according to online reports it really has resulted in lots of sets of twins being conceived so I'd be interested to try it at least! Does anyone else know of this??

Other than that should I be taking any other supplements to help me conceive? I am taking Pregnacare Conception with Folic Acid but is there anything else that would significantly boost my chances coz I'm getting on (34 this year:( )and worried I might need a lot of help.
A lot of different remedies recommended online but it's quite confusing. What are you other ladies taking to up your chances?
    Thanks.

A fertility specialist put me on folic acid. She said thats all thats needed. Some take omega 3 or fish oil supplements as this helps foetal brain development.

Best you can do is eat a healthy varied diet, cut out tuna, and add in lots of fruit and veggies.

One girl here had averse symptoms with a herbal supplement causing her cycle to go a bit haywire so do your research fully before taking something.
