I haven't been on a picnic since I was a young lad, would like to go again. :)

If I could be given a fabulous hamper,
I would most definitely be a happy camper,
    The weather is so dull,
    Bored out of my skull,
With a picnic I could me and my friends pamper!

    An open air picnic
    down in the blaskets
    With seagulls for company
    with my picnic basket

    or maybe a boat
    if i hadn't sank it
I'd sit out on the deck
    with my picnic blanket

    or maybe with neighbours
    all out on the street
    with bunting and laughter
    and ham sandwiches to eat

    A picnic for some,
    Is quite boring for one,
But for me and my neighbours,
It'll be great after a day of labour.

    Oh that's horrific :pac:

There was a young Boardsie from Cork
Who's neighbours all thought him a dork
    To lessen the damper
    He gave them a hamper
With sausages made out of pork

Oh looks good. Could use this picnic hamper for my proposed picnic venture under a cherry tree in west cork with my husband of 20 years this year. This hamper looks like it could smarten up my experience.

Would trade the picnic for some nice weather tbh.

    Hail, rain or snow,
    I'm gonna go
On a picnic with Ro -
    A beauty from Mayo.

    This Macra na Feirme beau
    Ain't a great Romeo,
But a girl can't say, "No",
When she sees my picnic tableau.

A picnic hamper packed with goodies,
Off to the beach, but bring the hoodies.
It's summer time but despite the season,
We live in Ireland so it's bleedin freezin.

And on the plates pate and crackers!

I tend to be quite shy, but my neighbour is an Italian like me and he invited me and the nb over for a chat already twice...which I always delayed (did I mention I am shy?)...maybe I will take this "Neighbour Day" as an excuse and ring their bell so :)
And then go for a picnic to the Black Castle :)

    There’s a girl I know from Tralee
I’d ask her to picnic with me
    If we get on well
    And her feet don’t smell
I’d bring her back home for coffee

I new a sad lady that needed a friend
So I called on a neighbour- a pal I could lend
    They needed a pamper
So I sent over a hamper
And that's how their beautiful friendship happened

Well, what a great idea! We live on a cul-de-sac and only through our kids playing did the adults start to talk! But I'm fortunate enough to have the best next-door neighbour in the world! She's 80 and widowed and still cuts her own grass and gets her hair done every Friday. She never forgets any of the kids' birthdays or exams and I'd say she's actually helped us to all get to know eachother. A picnic on the green would be nice alright!:D:D:D:D
