Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking through the Tai Chi in Cork thread, it reminded me of how often people practicing the art are left mystified, not knowing even orthodox applications within the forms, thought I'd share this, the wudang sanshou (practical tai chi chuan Ireland) youtube channel:

alot of the orthodox applications are displayed here, keep in mind, orthodox applications are meant to train specific principles and body mechanics, so when actually fighting, many are combined and altered as the situation requires. the form is laid out to place side by side (forward, mirror and reverse) tecniques and body mechanics that relate to each other in a counter / recovery fashion, so yes the form can convey alot about tactics and strategy, but first the individual sanshou applications must be perfected through real time, resistant practice.
