New to minecraft

ive had minecraft about a week or two now..
played a good bit of singleplayer..
leaving cert is finished on friday
whats multiplayer like and how do i play?

you go into one of the server threads on here and get whitelisted. this gets your name onto the list of people who can access the server.

depending on the server you can do various things. Tallon's server is a creation server. if you think of it and you find a suitable piece of land you can build whatever you want. monsters are turned off.

on the boards server monsters are turned on, they have an economy system where you can buy and trade things. more or less like single player but with people you can interact with and you can also build what you want depending on whether or not you have the materials. (think there is more but i dont know what it is.)

various other servers offer more or less the same thing. bounce around them until you find one that suits you.

If you like the building side of things, go to tallons. If you like the survival /mining side, go to boards.ie server.

Best of the bunch in my experience, but I'm kinda biased lol.
