I got new windows in and need to reconnect all the sensors, some wires will need to be extended as they are now bay windows.
Is it possible to do this using existing cables or will it require a total rewire.
Can anyone recommend anyone in Dublin? Thank

Take a look at this sticky

There are also some installers listed in the sticky here

The existing cables should be fine. Get a few quotes and ensure to agree a price for everything in advance.

so long as you have any bit of wire on the window then the installer will extend it using very slim trunking so it's not a big deal

That is the neatest option. If you system is not up to standard I would consider doing this yourself. It is not that big a job joining the cables and connecting the sensors if the system is already installed.
