Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No, I ordered them in black. They come in a few different colours.

Can you upload a recording of the beeping? And is it quick to start beeping when you go into reverse?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 814 ✭✭✭JerCotter7

Would the gong not be better the back shelf? Thought it would be kind of hard to hear in the boot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,309 ✭✭✭Harcrid

@Jercotter: The beeper is loud enough so it was fine to use in the boot. In fact, I had to stick a bit of tape over the beeper as it was a bit too loud for my liking initially but now its perfect.

@Alex: It beeps once when you engage reverse so you know its working. When you get within 1 - 1.5 metres of an obstacle it will start to beep in the same manner as they usually do. i.e. the beeps get closer together as you get nearer to the obstacle. I have uploaded an audio clip. It was taken with my iPhone so it's not great but if you turn your volume up you will get the idea of what it sounds like.

you're a gent. i think for 20 quid you cant go to far wrong, and even if it got annoying or whatever, you can just unplug it and leave the sensors there so no ugly holes.

oh, and any link to what you bought?

Reconstructive surgery has been completed on my car, collecting it this afternoon :)

The doctor even took pics for me, he must have realised what a nerd I was for recording keeping with my handwritten service history book left on the passenger seat :o

I am glad you and your colleagues got a laugh out of it!

Visited the local scrappy. Came away with a matching set of light covers for the 4 doors, rear spoiler & half a wheel cover :D

Now just need to find someone to paint the spoiler for me as its a different silver - beggars can't be choosers.

I changed the battery in a suzuki ignis. The radio then needed the code entered which I did, but it comes up showing 'safe' ? What now?

Something like that used to happen with my Seat Leon. It used to come on after a couple of hours or something like that once you put in the code? I found the answer to it on Google eventually! I think if its stuck in safe mode you need to leave the radio on for as long as possible so it can reset itself.

Cheers Mrs C, I'll try that.

Do a search on Google and see what comes back. I think you had to leave the key in the ignition and it reset with an hour or something like that sorry was a good couple of years ago so cant really remember.

Finally got a chance to finish the HK amp wiring today.

    DSC_0169.JPG

Put the back seats back in after redying them. Still need to do the passenger side part that's missing and 'door' card.
    DSC_0171.JPG

Installed the dice mediabridge and put the dashboard back together for hopefully the last time. Using my old front seats until I get the vaders done. Need to do the door card as well tonight or tomorrow hopefully.

Is that an E36 M3 Jer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,721 ✭✭✭E39MSport

Think I discovered why the previous owner of the M5 replace the clutch and flywheel and still sold it.

1st --> 2nd is becoming increasingly difficult which is not an uncommon problem. Will need new aftermarket fluids for a start to see if it helps.
Ultimately looking at a tear down I think

(:p :pac: ... sorry, snappers forced me to add the smileys ...)
