What is the rent limit in Athenry, Galway for rent allowance?

Hi,

We have found the perfect house in Athenry and the monthly rent is 550 euro. My boyfriend and I both receive rent allowance. We read a while ago that 550 euro is ok but our housing agent said we must know for 100% definate before we move and sign the contract.

We've tried to get through to the Athenry Community Welfare Officer all morning but cant get through and got no call back and today is our last day to tell the agents or we lose our deposit.

Does anyone have any idea? Id really appreciate any help here. Thank you.

it seems to be 550 galway, couple with no children,the landlord would probably take 499, if it makes things easier for getting rent allowance.you could ring threshold ,see threshold ie
