Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    i plan to attach 4 speakers to a single hi-fi unit and put each speaker in each corner of the room

    instead of running wires from each speaker to the unit seperatly would it be possible to do what ive drawn in the picture attached?

    the hi fi is designed to take two speakers so ive just been puttin all the wires into the same ports

    will i be able to do it like i drew in the second picture because it would save me running wires around the room on top of each other

    You can wire in series or parallel -
    1 channel:
    series runs amp -> sp1 -> sp2 > amp
    parallel runs amp -> sp1 -> amp
    amp -> sp2 -> amp

    Matching impedance is important. My understanding (i.e. could be wrong) is if you have an 50w 8ohm amp, you will get 50w from 2 x 4ohm speakers on each channel. You will get 25w from 2 x 8ohm speakers on each channel etc.

    Either way, google "parallel vs series speaking wiring" should do it
