Hey, came across this thread by chance, I've seen some of these username on the DCU boards someone should really start a thread for first years over there soon.
I'm going into my 3rd year doing Multimedia and have lived in both Larkfield and Hampstead.
I'll answer any questions (not about where to party though, I'm clueless on that)

Haha, it's unreal, Aoife and Aoife's Mammy have two totally different lists.

Mammy's List: bed linen, pens, laptop case, new bank card, proper walking shoes, plates, cups, cutlery, glasses.

Aoife's List: the two shot glasses I 'borrowed' from the local, as many cans as I can fit in my suitcase, going out clothes, Chinese menus, Four Star Pizza number, naggins, mixers.

How loved will I be :cool::cool:

    Hey,
My point was just that if their is a first year thread on the DCU section, you'll find more incoming first years and get more advice from people already in the college.
and yup, was in Larkfield ,its first years only in there.
I'm going to warn people now, don't set off the fire alarms doing silly things like opening emergency doors, if you do the whole building has to go outside and wait for it to stop. Happened on my first night their at 3am >.<. and very often after that.

I'll move to the DCU board once I have a place. It would be such a downer posting away happily there and then you get stuck somewhere else.

I was wondering where you'd disappeared to!!
Unfortunately that wasn't me for the following to reasons:
    1. I'm not on Facebook at the moment
    2. I'm not your Facebook friend. . . yet ;)

Is that one of those 'seemed like a good idea at the time' things gone horribly wrong?
Also, what part of the South East are you from? (If the south east at all?)
