Also, if you get your broadband through eircom, there is a live net feed of the gig at this link. You might need to sign up, but it won't take long and is free to eircom customers.

    Missed Morrissey.
Was it solo stuff or did he do Smiths stuff as well.

Thankfully, looks like U2 are going with some Achtung Baby stuff.

Indeed, they are and seem to be sticking with it. Thought they would have mixed it up more.

    Wonder why they're doing this.

Bono's voice is definitely shot - but U2's back catalogue is pretty good.

When Bonobo steps behind a microphone and belts out the tunes, all is temporarily forgiven and forgotten. :D

In fairness they are coming near the end of a multi year tour having played to millions of people - they are just back from the US for a few days so I am not surprised the aul voice isn't in the shape it once was. At least they dont take the easy way out like a lot of poppy acts do.

These dudes are old and lacking energy.

They are really pulling out all the big guns from the back catalogue for this one. None of the newer stuff, which is good, but not as good as the classics.

The crowd seem to be loving them.

Gig, in my opinion started out fairly tame - but WTSHNN really gets it goin....... tune still gives me goose bumps.
I tell ya, showing my age here, but much happier watching this on BBC HD with the surround sound and a few cans in a nice warm house beats the hell outta a live gig in that weather.
