quick upgrade question

    trying to do an upgrade on the cheap for my brother, just to play the odd game and to last a while. budget aprox 350 euro.

    his current rig is a athlon X2 AM2, AM2 mother board, 2GB ram, x1950 pro gfx card.

    thinking about getting him the following from where ever i can get them the cheapest.

    AMD Phenom II X4 955 Box, Sockel AM3,
    ASRock M3AN78D, Sockel AM3, ATX (or similar cheap motherboard),
    4GB RAM,
    5770 1GB GFX card.

    would also like to get a new PSU as i think the current one is a 380W generic model but will check later.

    would it be better to go for a lesser CPU and get a better GFX card, i currently have a 6850 and its a great card with loads of OCing potential. can some of the x3's still have the 3rd core unlocked? also have no problem OCing any part of it.
