Interesting times with a feral cat

All last winter we fed "something" outside the door here in a very rural situation. It started when a pan was left out to soak and got cleaned!

The range of food was amazing...And the amount also large. Bread, vegetables, cake...

    Maybe a fox?

A few weeks ago, the cat let us see it. Small and thin and ginger, with a slightly fluffy tail...

So the diet was improved; we were not sure if it were female and ?? kittens, so we waited to worm it..

A few weeks on.....it has never let us get any closer, and that is fine as it looks healthier and fatter, and we know where it sleeps now.

Now it feeds no more; so we think it has plenty of prey.. our cats are bringing in mice and birds.

We occasionally hear it at night is all.

At some stage we need to trap it to neuter, but for now happy that he is fine and needs us no more. A wild critter with the dignity of such.
