Not something I have much experience with, but have you tried a wire bush?

Use standard thinners instead of white spirits!

Use caustic soda ( drain cleaner ) and a nylon brush. Be VERY careful, use gloves & goggles. Caustic dissolves ANYTHING organic! Leave the caustic for a while to do its work and flush with plenty of water afterwards.

Try power washer after the above. The power washer will blow the softened paint out of the indentations of the concrete.

Be careful not to splash the chemicals on yourself with the power washer. Take all the precautions (boots, protective glasses, etc.)

on a dry day, use a wire brush, it will scratch it off, also a scraper will help

Thanks for the many replies. Gonna pick up a power washer tomorrow as I know it took the paint of the wall when I was cleaning it last year.

    Thanks folks.

5 euro for a bottle of this in the local builders providers.

Removes, cement, mortar, plaster and paint stains very easily and quickly too.:)

weathershield is water based so whitespirit would never have worked.
