i've recently installed 2011.40, and it works fine.

dunno about 2012.10.. you could back up your current maps, install 2012.10 and see what happens.

you can always delete the new maps and put back in the old maps.

try it out and let us know how you get on

    edit: just saw this http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=73007857&postcount=300

    2012.10 is due soon

    It has the limerick tunnel
but the M7 is still not correct with 10km+ of road still missing, on 3plus sections of that road.
and on the ennis bypass another 8KM of road still missing . this version is not worth the money ...... CAN you NAME more:confused:...........

Does not look like the Gort-Crusheen motorway is not there and that's open nearly a year now.

Yes it is. (On 2012.20 that is, it's not on 2012.10)

You may have to zoom in a bit .. Garmin use some really ancient base map when you're zoomed out a long way that doesn't show a single motorway and even still has T roads on it !!

Latest version is 2012.20, no such thing as 2012.40. There's a 2011.40 but that's an old version. 2012.20 only came out a month ago after all.

    ok.
but from where i get my maps, there was a 2012.30 and 2012.40

it had a few more roads listed than 2012.20, but it had problems with searching for destinations.

thats why i went back to 2012.20

    edit:
heres google results for a search using : garmin europe 2012.40

Relevant bit highlighted. It's not a coincidence that all the sites listed by that Google search are warez / crackz / torrent sites.

I suspect that your supposed 2012.40 map might have actually been an OSM map. They are more complete for the major road schemes, but searching is a bit flakey. If this was an .exe self-extracting archive, or if it came with some kind of keygen I'd be checking for nasties on my PC if I were you.

BTW If you want them, there are plenty of legal places to get OSM maps suitable for installation on Garmin satnav's.

no *.exe, no key gen, and no nasties :)

Whatever ... there still isn't such a thing as CN NT EUR 2012.40.

You'll find google results for not-yet-existent higher versions of EVERYTHING, I'm amazed there aren't "2013.10"'s floating around.

edit: actually, there are a few.
