    Probably because that has absolutely nothing to do with whether an institution reaches the required standard.

    Anyway, supply and demand interact.

    Yes it does. If Waterford university produces graduates who can't get or create a job locally then it's a waste of time and money.

    You're right, can the whole idea. Just making people more unhappy in the dole queues. I'm sure that given the recession we could probably close most of the universities until the jobs come back and save a whole pile of cash. :rolleyes:
