    For what type of job,

Most of the generic CV templates should be a good start, then down to the careers service to proof it.

As a mature student, I had found the boards CV template good - as found in the Work & Jobs forum.

Going into 3rd year BIS and we got a lecture or 2 on how to layout a C.V. Can pm you a sample if you want?
Personally I have 2, one for IT companies (mainly for getting placement tbh) and another more general one for summer work etc.
Main thing is keep it max 2 pages, size 12 writing, clear & concise headings and use bullet points.
