Hi I have a sony digital recorder which used to open ok. Now it cannot find how to. Sorry I am not too good at tecnical stuff. Can anyone advise me how to open a DVF file? I tried a "free" download which later wanted to charge me?

What OS are you running (XP/Vista/Windows7 etc) ? What was the program that used to open the files ? Is that program still installed on the computer ?

You should be able to get either a plug-in for Media Player or a standalone program (Sony Digital Voice Editor) at http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/select-system.pl?PRODTYPE=28&NAVDISP=portaud

Hi Thanks for that. I have (Sony Digital Voice Editor) downloaded and can open now but want to send to a friend who cannot open it. I have tried to transfer it to a CD but then will not open. Her computer is operating differently to mine. Any ideas on how to convert these files?

    Thanks

Can the recipient download Sony Digital Voice Editor ? If not you can get a free (for non-commercial use) version of Switch and convert to mp3 .
