What's the average % for deposits?

    I desperately want to buy a house in Dublin soon. Only have a small amount of savings though. What's the average % deposit? Is it 20% or higher? If so, things are looking bleak....

    Depends on the mortgage lender. 100% mortgages are no more. These you didnt need deposit down and the bank just lent out the full value of the property.

    Lenders are lending max of 90% of value of the property so you other 10% you will have to come up with. Most are around 80% i think but stand to correction on this.

    Check out each of the lenders maximum LTV (loan to value) ratio and then you will know what you are looking at.
