I never put screen wash in the car, in fairness, I lost a headlight washer because of this last winter but they covered it under warranty :)
Headlight washers eat screenwash, if you think you're running low then only use the screen washers.

The new Honda Civic has that function built in! Sorry but they stole your idea smile.gif
how the hell do they get the water clean enough to reuse? any water that runs off my car is black and filthy, can't imagine using it to wash anything.

Not an option on my car, well it sort of is - during winter if I needed to wash the screen and was afraid of losing or damaging a head light washer due to them being frozen (never really defrost as they are infront of the engine) I would have to turn my lights off for a second, spray the screen and then put the lights back on.

Is it me or does anyone else have a problem seeing the indicator flash on Passat's (the newish models with the round break/indictor as one).

When the driver breaks and indicates its impossible to see the actual indicator

Have to agree (and I own one!) but I thought that when they first came out myself - the earlier B5.5 model had it done right :)

As I said earlier though, a bigger problem with the rear light arrangement on the B6 is only having one (not very bright) reversing light - fun times parking at night!

That water would be filthy, half of it would be spray from the roads and that's as much mud, petrol and oil as it is water.

Either that or use pulses of the screenwasher that are too short to trigger the headlight washers. Oh, and use winter screenwash in winter - it won't freeze.;)

Not really a design flaw but a question about a particular design in a 2005 era Hyundai Coupe that i didnt want to start a new thread over, but anyone any idea what the little stalk/lever type thing on the left under the steering wheel/ wiper stalk is??

Agreed about the Passat rear lights.
Fortunately Caddy drivers intuitively know how hot their engine is, so no need for a temperature gauge there. Ah yes, " Lets fill that hole in the dash with a nice matt black blanking plate".
It's what makes Caddys fifty cents cheaper to manufacture than their competitors vans. Vorsprung durch technik...

Steering wheel angle adjustor? Pull it down & you should be able to adjust the angle of the steering wheel & push it back up to hold it at the position you want. If its it same thing as i'm thinking of anyway.

Multiply that 50 cent by 1 000 000 and it suddenly becomes a lot.
Still, everybody would probably be happy enough to pay the extra 50 cent to have the temperature gauge...

On BMW wipers: only the cantilevered type wipers are not reversed, because they don't really need to be.
