Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My first night watching MMA, just heard a few over in the boxing thread talking about it earlier so decided to check it out

Loving it, why was I not watching this before?!

This has been a very unusual night for so many quick endings to the fights, its not always like this.

I doubt you were alone! What a win for Leben.

Those uppercuts were just brutal! Wanderlei is really hurt there. Lethal punches.

Had a feeling about that one. Still not happy about the end result though :(

You picked a great night to start, helps that the boxing was pretty poor too

Jesus Christ so Khal Drogo is like that in real life - you have got to be kidding me.

I thought he was some f head from the WWE at first.

    Jeeeez. Reality sucks.

Main event starting at half 3 and Adagio for Strings in the background? Awesome

Me in bar over here (California): I like Chris Leben for this (to my mate).

Loudmouth American: This guy never seen Pride before? Wanderlei's gonna **** him up.

Me: Leben wins you buy me a beer?

    Loudmouth: Done.

    *10 seconds later*

Me: I'll have a Bud Light.

I would have agreed with you before I seen the Tito fight. Wandy was out for a year and a half and had all kinds of reconstructive work done and suddenly he's up against a busy maniac like Leben.

I still think he'll do well against the majority of the top half of the middleweight division, especially when he's back in the swing of things.

Justin Beiber is in attendance too, I'm not even sure What the **** is going on.

Jeez, Khal Drogo and Conan is this ****ing muppet. Nice hat you bloody asshole.

Cruz and Faber need to forget the fight and both go for Bieber. Everyones a winner if he gets a beating.

    2pac FTW :D

    Did you get it?

Yep. I was told alot that "In America, a bet is a bet bro. A bet is a bet. Bro." Plus its happy hour untill 9pm so its only $2.

They like Uriah Faber here. Alot. And even though Im in Huntington Beach they dont like Tito at all.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,512 ✭✭✭Oh_Noes

Hope overhyped Faber and his arse of a chin get smashed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,760 ✭✭✭peejay1986

Hoping for Faber in this one. Can't stand Cruz personally. Seems like majority of people love one and hate the other, not many who aren't neutral for this one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 830 ✭✭✭jimpump

    Cruz via boring UD decision

hope im wrong and we see a finish....but i doubt it

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭drayme

Give him the Von Erich claw, Faber.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,512 ✭✭✭Oh_Noes

And the Nevada Athletic Commision picks their worst ref for the only five round fight. Keith Kaisar is starting to remind me of Sep Blatter in his glorious incompetence.

2 knockdowns to faber in the 1st 2 rounds

so i got faber up by 2 rounds

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

It's not like boxing though, imo with the knock downs. It's 20-18 to Cruz atm. Could understand 19-19.

Speaking of Edgar, I'll give that round to Cruz since he's landing cleaner and more often

you must be related to cecil peoples with that type of scoring!

I have Cruz one point up after round 3. Very close fight.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,813 Mod ✭✭✭✭riffmongous

Some nice combos by Cruz to start the round, I'll give it to him despite the knockdown

    DRAW.

nice takedown defence from Faber, but I don't think he landed enough to back it up, Cruz has it I think

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

I'm not sure if anyone noticed that bullsh!t. Not to mention one judge giving it 50-45 to Cruz but Fabers coach going and looking at Buffers scorecard. Ruined it by his reaction.

  • Registered Users Posts: 830 ✭✭✭jimpump

    what a surprise

    cruz is the new GSP/Fitch

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,659 ✭✭✭unknown13

    50-45 Cruz is disgraceful

I noticed the hands on the head alright, didn't realise it was because of that though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

I had that a draw if not 49-48 to Cruz but it was close.

Get these guys coaching the next TUF.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,760 ✭✭✭peejay1986

Whoever give that 50-45 was being incredibly harsh on Faber.

Had Cruz by 1 point myself. Can't argue with the result. Great fight!
