Sky+ with one input line

    Hi folks, I've had a quick look around the forum to see if anyone has come across this before but I couldn't see it mentioned.

    My folks recently got Sky HD installed in the room where previously there had been a Sky+ box. All of the rooms in the house are wired for coax (but with only one coax point). This was the only room that could have Sky+ at the time because they drilled a separate hole for the 2nd LNB feed.

    They have multiroom standard boxes in some of the other rooms. However, the engineer swapped one of the standard boxes with the old Sky+ box and said he'd return later in the week with a device that would "pulse" a signal along one input line which would allow the functionality of Sky+ without the need for a 2nd line. The wording is secondhand from the folks, but you get the point.

    Has anyone ever had/seen/used such a device and if so, do they work?

    A stacker/de-stacker will do the trick as long as the cable is okay & the run is not too long. Would it not be easier & less costly to run a second cable to the room?

    That sounds like the device. The room is interior with a couple of mass concrete walls in the way so can't put in a new line. Cable run is about 25m from dish to splitter in the garage and 20m from splitter to TV.
