Outdoor pursuits-West Cork

I'm heading down to West Cork from the 14th July to 17. We're staying in Cork City on the Thursday but then heading to Baltimore on the 18th.

We plan to do some hill walking, kayaking and surfing. Maybe visit Sherkin Island as well.

I'd like to know the options down there for cheap accomodation, any outdoor pursuits centres and generally nice places to go to. I'm doing up an itinerary and dont want to be travelling back and forth the county.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Take the ferry to Cape Clear, stay overnight if you can - Lough Ine is lovely for a walk around - pizzas in La Jolie Brise are good. The craic in Bushe's/The Algiers/McCarthy's is great.

There's usually a big gang from Glenan's Sailing school in Bushe's in the evening.
