So the deadline is looming. I'm not sure if i'm going to get the points for my course Physiotherapy and I just need some help on what 'back door' course to put down. My CAO is like this ATM:

    Level 8 Course Choices:

    2. LM100 Physiotherapy
    3. RC004 Physiotherapy
    4. DN425 Health and Performance Science
    5. DC204 Athletic Therapy and Training
    6. DC202 Sport Science and Health
    7. LM089 Sport and Exercise Sciences
    8. DN262 Human Nutrition
    9. CW188 Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy
    10. CK504 Nutritional Sciences

    Level 7/6 Course Choices:
    1. CW106 Physiology and Health Science
    2. SG435 Health Science and Physiology
    3. LY137 Sports Development and Coaching
    4. TA316 Sports Science and Health
    5. DK781 Science - Applied Bioscience
    6. LY837 Food Science and Nutrition
    7. WD164 Food Science with Business
    8. GA774 Science (Undenominated)
    9. SG401 Science
    10. DT212 Science - Common 1st Year

Any help at all would be great. Thanks.

I'm going into third year Physio.

Last year we had 5 new students in our class who gained a place through accelerated entry. Two from this course - DC204 Athletic Therapy and Training, two from here- SG435 Health Science and Physiology and one is a Chiropractor.

I would immediately get onto TCD, UCD, RCSI and UL and enquire about accelerated entry to Physiotherapy and what courses are looked upon favourably.

This one - CW106 Physiology and Health Science is a great stepping stone to get into Unis in the UK.

Just a side note: You don't have TCD physio down on your list!

I have ATT down the only thing is it's 4 years and I don't want to wait that long to get into Physio. I don't have the requirements for TCD because they don't allow Biology and Ag Science to be combined as the two science subjects, unfortunately. Thanks for your help!

Well then I'd suggest the Carlow course or the Sligo IT course. The Carlow course is 2years and the Sligo course is 3 years.

If you definitely want to do Physio would you consider going to the UK (This is including Uni.of Ulster) or resitting the subjects you need in the Leaving cert next year?
