Attic ladder for vertical attic opening

This same question was posted here on a very old thread (2006) so figured I'd fire up a new one...

I have a slightly unusual attic opening in that it's on a vertical wall rather than a horizontal ceiling. It's also just over 9ft to the bottom of the opening rather than the standard 8ft - high ceilings in my house.

I'm looking for a sturdy attic ladder which will fold up into the attic - something that will work in this circumstance. I had a Stira installer come by who said they didn't have a solution for me. Also had a one-man-band attic ladder guy who hummed and hawed without providing any solutions other than buying a ladder in B&Q that I'd have to store in the shed - not the solution I want.

Has anyone installed a ladder in a similar circumstance? Any installers out there with a solution for me? Thanks

Might not be what you are looking for but a quick google search brought me to this NI company that also has a ROI number

I am not associated with this company in any way. Best of luck with your search:)

Any decent aluminium attic ladder should do your job, just so long as you have a ' landing' on the attic side of the opening, these are telescopic as opposed to fold up which will allow them to be pushed up when not in use, and cheaper too than the timber version, will suit floor to ceilings of up to 3.0mts, maybe try google on images for some ideas...........
