Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hello, just wondering how many round bales of silage would I need to get me through next Winter. I'll have three in calf suckler cows, due to calf next March / April, and four yearling heifers. Cattle are usually housed from mid Nov to start of April.
    I'd appreciate any replies, thanks..

mid Nov - mid april = 5 months
Each cow eats 1.5 bales / month
    Each yearling 1.2 bales/ month

    Gives you 5{ (1.5 X 3)+(1.2 X 4) } = 46.5 Bales

We had a neighbour with a Welger RP12 on a MF 165 almost 20 years ago. He made half bales as standard.

No wrapper could turn them on the table. He had to put them all into bale bags. :D:D:D
