Alternative to Imac 27in

Any good alternatives out there ,just feel that the Imac is overpriced,will mostly use it for photo editing and watch maybe a few movies,so need good quality monitor and loads of storage space..have seen the Imac in action and it is superb,but maybe someone has a set-up similar for a lot less dollars..
