Dog peeing on new kennel?

We built my dog a new kennel and it is covered in mineral felt for waterproofing but he keeps peeing on it and this stuff absorbs it. I understand why he does it, it's territorial and all but how can we stop him from doing it? I really don't want him to stink up the place :P Thanks in advance :D
