Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not being a smart ass but in this situation would the OP be able to get ANY solicitor to represent them given that this would pit one solicitor against another in the area of unpaid fees ?
I know someone currently experiencing huge difficulties in getting a solicitor to represent her in her separation because ( yes you guessed it ) her husband is a solicitor.

What would happen in court if the lady mentioned by delancy turned up and said to the judge "no solicitor will represent me because my husband is one".
What would or could the judge do?

Didn't want to hijack the other thread.

Yes, they would be able to get representation.

This is becoming less and less an issue.

Find someone unconnected to the husband, his business, etc.

Outside the area in which they live. If there is no embarrassment to the solicitor taking on the case, then there is no issue.

As Tom said, it's much less of an issue theses days but if it did arise, the Law Society would assist in finding a suitable solicitor.
