What could have caused my upload SNR to jump to 31.00 today, its usually 21.00 or 22.00?? Maybe exchange work/upgrade? According to the NGB map; my exchange is due to be upgraded between April - June.

Here are my stats for the last few days. Note the upload SNR for today (30-06-11).

The same happened with the line of one of my relations in Louth. Upstream signal margin stuck at 31dB where it used to be at about 20 or 22dB I think.

    On a netopia 2247.

I haven't had a chance to grab a modem that reports more details (like the upstream power level) so I don't have a clue as to what caused it.

    Thanks for the reply

Ill connect my old 3347 later and see what it reports.

Also just to add, My router always displayed "Fastpath" instead of "Interleave" and then one day it changed to "Interleave" , So since that happened (about 3 or 4 months ago) Ive rang Eircom 3 times about lowering my latency so my router will read "Fastpath" instead of "Interleave". And each time they told my that they had adjusted my profile... But the change does not appear at my end. !!!

Pings to eircom.net used to be 14ms now they are 32ms since the change to "Interleave"

    Eircom eh?

Could be worth posting a thread in their forum (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1293) to ask them to remove interleaving.

Tell them about the modem reporting "interleave" instead of fastpath and also how the ping times have increased.

    Thanks
Ive posted about both issues in their forum.

    Just tried 2 different modems:

    Netopia 3347W SNR UP = 29dB
Netopia 2247-02 (with faulty wifi module) SNR UP = 29dB

So Ive got 3 modems giving me roughly the same result, so it aint my modem. Something must have been changed at the exchange.

(I know Im double posting here, Ive posted the same thing on the Eircom boards forum)
