Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

From what i've read he'll only be getting off because the alleged victim would make a bad witness. She's alleged to have been involved in drug dealing and money laundering. So as far as i can see he'll get away with it because the defense would tear the lady apart on the stand and make it all about her being bad and the jury would turn against her.

If you read the new york times article you will see that her story was full of holes and the conclusion is now that the sex was consensual. At the time it did seem quite strange, for example she claimed she was forced to perform oral sex even though he was unarmed and she had teeth.

Now today the militant feminists are'nt admitting they were wrong rather they are saying this as the reason why women don’t report rape, and continue to get raped, and raped their rape rape rape, when in fact by condeming him in the first place and by putting pressure on law enforcement to make arrests without cause in rape cases they are making it harder for rape convictions to occur.

I think the way this man was treated by the media was disgraceful. The presumption of innocent until proven guilty was lacking in most media reports of this.

This reminds me of the garda 'rape' tape. Apparently another piece of that tape shows one of the protesters accusing a garda of rape. Yet where are the feminists, Irish times readers and garda bashers now?
