If I understand it correctly I am now receiving NGB (just outside Letterkenny).

Does this mean my speed will increase?
(my speed currently varies between 1Mb and 1.5Mb

I originally signed up to up to 3Mb speed.

Also it is possible for you to tell me the max speed I am capable of achieving.

    Hi emmetmcl,

I checked your line and it is showing a max bandwith / speed capacity of "up to 3MB".

    Thanks, Mark

    Hi emmetmcl,

I am afraid 3MB is not a guaranteed speed, the speed test systems shows the line capability to the nearest MB. What speeds are you getting at the moment?

    Thanks, Mark

Around 1.5mb, 1.6mb on the very odd occasion.

    Hi emmetmcl,

Did you get a chance to try the checklist? If so, have you seen any improvement?

    Thanks, Mark

Can you monitor the speeds over the next few days and I will get back to you on Monday.

    Hi emmetmcl,

I had support increase your sync to see if the line could handle a higher speed but it seems that unfortunately it can't so I will reduce the sync back to 2MB and I'm afraid the 1.6 - 1.8MB is the best available on the line.

    Thanks, Mark

    Ah right, thanks anyway.
    Its around 2Mb today.

Are there any plans to upgrade the line in the future?

    Hi emmetmcl,

I am afraid there is no network works planned for your area that I would be able to give an indication as to if or when your line bandwidth capacity may be improved.

    Thanks, Mark
