My dad has just turned eighty and wants to get a scooter type thing to get up and down to the shops. Is there anyone can recommend which makes are best and where there is a place in dublin that you can get them.

Would it be worth getting him to try one out before he buys? Dundrum centre or other big shopping centres will let him take one out for an hour or two.

Landlex or Drive medical are good reliable brands of mobility scooters. Depends on your price range really.

Something like the Prism Scooter is probably the most ideal if your local shops are relatively near.
