Cork to Dublin City Hall

Have to go to Dublin City Hall but I never been there before so asking for suggestion.
I am living in Cork and planning to go in the morning in the weekday and back to Cork in the same day.
(Not going to drive since searching for a parking slot isnt fun.)

Under €2. Buy your Luas ticket at the stop (the machines give change). For the bus, you pay the driver (no change given, so exact change).
