Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What is the longest you should leave an automatic watch idle? Is it worth investing in winders?

Not sure on the idle time question but I found the winder I had a constant worry,
If someoe broke into the house all my watches in one place!
I only ever used it to wind whatever the wife and I was going to wear while I jumped in the shower.
They can be super pricey for the programable ones

Mechanical watches can be left a long time and work as soon as they are picked up again, I've herd of watches left for years and been ok. In general though I think it's best to give them a gentle shake or wind every now and again say at least every month or two.

Opinion is split re winders, most feel it ads undue stress to the watch, doesn't help it and will require more servicing, others still swear by it. Personally I would wear each watch an average of once every two weeks or so and would never bother with a winder.
