I wouldnt say a burned out house in kilcohan is even worth that. I would also guess you would have a tough time renting out that house, houses in kilcohan are normally council houses. If I was you I'd look elsewhere

    For 18000 what a cheap bargain .....

But is the area really tough to for sale ??

is there too much anti social behaviour in that area?

You could say that yeah. It wouldn't be the most desirable area in the city.

A lot of these places have bad press because of a few people living in around them. But for the best part council house estates are not that bad. I grew up in St Johns Park and spent a lot of time over around kilcohan never had any issues.

Thats strange why will the press lie about a house of area , but will you say , being grown up this sort of area , you might have know how to deal with problems .

And might be a problem for a new person there .

I grew up in Lisduggan. Some parts of it are bad but the majority is grand.

Are they not mostly all council houses, I dont think you will find someone not from the area wanting to buy a house there.

Waterford has a few bad areas ,that will make you want to leave after one night .A good area is anywhere near Waterford Hospital .Its very posh around there but you will pay E 150,000 minimum .
I bought a House before in Woodlawn grove off the Cork road ,near the Tech .I was lucky to get my money back after doing it up and living there for 2 years .It backed on to a sports field and people ( or someone ) were always throwing cans into my garden breaking the glass on my greenhouse numerous times .

I have come to conclusion this is the most ****est area to even think about , forget about living there or renting there .

I have seen some pictures of the area and hate it now with a passion .

How do people live there .......yuK.....

The only excuse I can understand is Yes if you are homeless , then OK .

I wont even live if given by council or housing .

I wont even buy and sell , because money is not everything , i will not make someones life hell , just because this is what he can afford

and shame on people who create these area a problem area .

So where do you live bui? If you are looking for 18000 euro houses you probably live in a corrugated box today! People who live in cardboard boxes shouldn't walk around with mat.ches!

Na it is one of the worst areas in Waterford, but still not that bad of an area to live really. Dont get me wrong I would not like to live there by choice but if I was given a council house there I would not complain.:)

I know people that live there and you couldn't meet nicer folk. All it takes is a few though to lower the tone of the area.
