Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've just changed the one of my Sky boxes from a standard box to a HD box, unfortunately I'm having difficultly setting up the Magic Eye.

I have the Magic Eye broadcasting the signal (i.e. I can see the picture screen on the TV I'm using the Magic Eye with) but the remote control isn't working on the Magic Eye for some reason.

Any suggestions on what I need to do to fix the problem?

Is the magic eye receiving power, are you using the HD box's own remote?

Are you using the RF2 output and also, is there any splitter between the Sky HD box and the Magic eye that could be causing an issue?

The magic eye doesn't "broadcast the picture". it simply passes the signal through.

What it does is convert the remote control infra red pulses to pulses that modulate a carrier frequency that is recognised by the Digibox RF2 circuit.

If the LED on the "magic eye" box is lit it's receiving power. Check that you are using the correct remote and that the remote is working when aimed directly at the Digibox.

    Thanks for the replies.

Yes I'm using RF2 and I'm also using the Sky HD remote.

I'll check to see it the TV link is receiving power and report back.

Thanks for the help thus far.

If it's going through an isolated wall socket there's a little circuit in there that needs removing as it's designed to prevent bleed or return of additional frequencies to minimise interference, but the Magic Eye needs those frequencies.
