I need to replace my rear derailler.I'm not sure if I need a Long, Medium or Short one.The chainset is a compact 34-50 and the casette is 9sp 12-27. Can I use a 10sp model.

10 speed short cage will do you just fine,unless you're ever planning on going for a triple on the front at some stage!!
