    Guy had some bottle ..
Drunk milkman was swerving across road as he went on alcohol-fuelled early morning round.

A milkman was so drunk on his early-morning round that his 20mph float was swerving across the road as he delivered pints. Brian Gallagher, 51, was pulled over by police after narrowly missing parked cars while completing his deliveries. An officer then saw him ‘fall from his float and stagger to pick up a pint’.

A roadside breath-test showed he was nearly double the drink-drive limit, a court heard. He has since been sacked by his dairy. Prosecutor Gareth McMahon said: 'A police officer had been called after reports that the milkfloat had been involved in a possible collision at around 1am.

'The officer followed the milkfloat at a distance. He described the vehicle as swerving from left to right across the road and only narrowly missing parked cars. 'After failing to stop at road markings, Gallagher was stopped by the officer. 'The officer said Gallagher fell from the milkfloat and staggered to the rear of vehicle to pick up a pint of milk.

Gallagher's milk float was taken away on a low loader following his arrest during a round in the Pontcanna area of Cardiff
. Gallagher admitted drink-driving after giving a breath-test reading of 62 micrograms of alcohol. The legal limit is 35. Gallagher, of Leckwith, Cardiff, defended himself at the hearing before Cardiff magistrates. He said: ‘I had drunk a bottle of wine with a meal before starting my shift at 10.30pm.’

He was handed an 18-month driving ban and fined £100.

Police were alerted when he semi-skimmed his float against several parked vehicles and then proclaimed "I have become Vish-Moo! Destroyer of Herds!"

He could have a drinking problem though. People like that are known to get the shakes.

Is it not 50mg here yet? Thought they had reduced it from 80mg last year.

Also, there is a limit here for 20mg below what is legal if you drive professionally.
