Thought I would start a thread listing any businesses that have passed on the decrease in vat to the customer in Limerick.

This is not a name and shame thread so lets stick to listing only the businesses that have passed it on and keep discussion of the ones that haven't out of here.

I haven't come across any myself yet but if other people want to get the ball rolling then please do! I'll add them to this post then.

    Restaurants:
    Bella Italia: 43 Thomas Street
    Milanos: Harveys Quay
    Ducarts: Hunt Museum Restaurant

    Fast Food:
McDonalds: Countrywide, some items cheaper. Eurosaver unchanged.

    Coffee Shops:
O' Briens: Crescent shopping center branch, others unconfirmed.

    Newspapers:
    Limerick Leader

Do businesses clearly state that they're passing it on, or do you need a calculator...?

They dont have to advertise the fact but it would be good for business if they did I would imagine. You can assume if the prices went down over the weekend that it is because of the new vat rate.

Don't eat there often but seen that some of there menu items where infact cheaper by about 30 cents, euro saver is the same price though.

Thats the least the limerick leader can do. I mean how could they justify €2.20 for that paper . In fairness €0.90 and I might consider buying it-no wonder there sales are only a shadow of what they once were. The good old limerick Post does me!
