Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a samsung tv and every now and again thr screen briefly goes blank for a second or two and loses sound too. Then the picture comes back on and it could be fine for an hour or two or it could happen again straight away. Just wondering if anyone has any idea why its happening? This happens no matter what device is running aswell.

Is it hard to turn on from standby also? A lot of Samsung tvs recently have had major problems with faulty capacitors that were installed in them. Is tv under warranty? Try and google the problem.

Yeah it can be hard to turn on sometimes. Tried googling it but couldn't really find anything on it. Not sure about the warranty.

I too have a samsung tv that was slow to turn on, it would come on a few seconds, even minutes after pushing the power button.
But now it wont turn on at all.
Could it be the same problem?
its about 3 years old, would it be worth fixing price wise?

Does it happen when a DVD (or anything else connected by SCART/HDMI) is being played, or is it only with TV reception?

The analogue TV from the Spur Hill transmitter in the Cork area was suffering dropouts exactly as you describe in recent weeks - it could be a RTE transmitter issue in your case and not your TVs fault, if its only happening when viewing RTE/TV3/TG4
