Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got a new camera and took it around the River Corrib area to try it out. These are few.

And this one. These cute little Moorhens had a little chick and when this seagull came a little too close they attacked it viciously. they pecked it and stood on it to keep it under the water. I believe they would have killed it had it not escaped. Photo quality not that good but it's the only one I got as I only had one photo left on my card and it was all over in maybe 10 seconds .... typical. I was very surprised at how nasty they were, never seen them like that before.

    Thanks for looking.

Re: no 5, do graffiti artists have boats in Galway?

Great photos, very clear. What camera did you use?

My favourite three of the lot is No. 2, 3 and 5. Mainly 5 due to the odd placement of the graffiti and the blurred reflection of the stone ruin.
Maybe it was those innocent looking rowers who put the graffiti there  :p

Thanks for the comments. DoBhrionn, I have just got a canon EOS 7D and that is the camera that I used here. Nice upgrade from the 350D I was using, and taken me ages to get it, but well worth the wait IMHO. :)

The head in the first photo is so odd. It just looks so out of place. In a funny/strange way, of course.

All nice photographs, and the 7D is a wonderful body. The third photograph is my overall favourite :)

These are crazy sharp! Are they JPEgs straight from the camera or did you sharpen RAW files in post-processing?

Small bit of sharpening of RAW in PP
